PASTORAL CARE AND COUNSELING
Care for the Community in your time of need
There are times when you feel like you have nowhere to turn. We want to make sure you know that we are here not just for the church members but for the community. Consider the following ways we can provide care for you or your family.
PASTORAL CARE HOME VISITS
Outreach to the hurting
If you are or know an elderly shut-in, a physically disabled person, or simply don't have access to transportation, you can request a pastoral visit for prayer, conversation and communion. Depending on the number of people in need, this can be an ongoing, continual care relationship between Pastor Will and the community
HOSPITAL VISITS
Visiting the Sick
If you or a loved one is preparing for surgery, facing end of life decisions or celebrating a new life being brought into the world, we'd like to offer our caring hand. You can request a pastor or lay person to visit you or a loved one in the hospital for prayer and conversation, or simply to be there in hard times. Please let us know when and where you'd like to receive a visit and we will do our best to be there for you.
FUNERAL SERVICES
Loving those left behind
Our church is welcoming to members of the Henry community for funeral services and meals. Pastor Will can do services both on sight or at a funeral home or grave sight. We have working relationships with local funeral homes or you can work with us directly. Contact us for more information.
PASTORAL COUNSELING
Finding Direction
Sometimes simple pastoral visits only scratch the surface of deeper problems. If you find yourself spiritually lost or in need of deeper counseling, we are here for you. You can request focused, brief counseling for marital issues, parenting, grief and depression, drug abuse, thoughts of suicide or financial struggles. These free, 45 minute sessions of counseling are short in nature and will likely lead to trusted, professional referral, but consider this a place to begin the process of healing as you seek help. Don't struggle alone. Our help is confidential, safe, and grace filled.
SPIRITUAL DIRECTION
Exploring Faith and Theology
People go through crises of their faith. Often times, poor church experiences, misunderstood teaching or even harmful religious leaders or church members can cause people to lose their faith. Pastor Will provides free, ongoing Spiritual Direction for people who want to grow in their faith, explore what it means to be a Christian, and consider the possibilities regarding creation and our human experiences.
